Today we attended a rain-barrel workshop. We have been wanting to make a rain barrel for a long time. The church we attend organized a workshop & gave us the perfect opportunity to learn how to make a rain barrel! It was so easy! Our barrel is 55 gallons. From what we are told this will fill up SO quickly. It would take many barrels to harvest all the rain water our roof can provide, but this is a great start! Using our collected rain water to water our plants & grass is just one more way we can be a little more eco-friendly! The rain barrel is not set up to our house just yet but here is a picture of what we made today at the workshop (and Libby investigating). {the picture makes it look tilted but its not really!} For more information visit www.bridgingthegap.org !!
