making pickles!

Rick & I had our first attempt at canning today.  It made me think of going to Grandma D's basement when I was younger and looking at all the jars of food she had canned.  We made pickles using cucumbers from our garden.  I really felt like Little House on the Prairie today (....well I'm sure life on the prairie wasn't quite like our experience, but still).  After buying a few supplies, it was a farily easy process.  Now to wait and see how they taste!?!
