Five...the number of times my heart almost stopped this weekend

This past Saturday I drove to Tulsa to meet a friend of mine. She had an interview there so it was a quick visit to hang out from Saturday afternoon till Sunday afternoon. We had fun! My visit started off by re-reading Eclipse in the hotel lobby while I waited for Bridgette to return from her meeting. She came up behind me & grabbed my shoulders to announce her arrival. {this was time #1 that I almost had a heart attack}. We went up to her room so she could change clothes & the hotel emergency system began blaring that there was an emergency in the building & we needed to evacuate immediately {time #2}!! My panic level sky rocketed when going down the stairwell to exit the building. It was so hot! I just knew we were going to be trapped by flames. However, all was well & a couple minutes later we found out it was a false alarm and were free to re-enter the hotel. Whew! We finished the night by having a delicious dinner at BoneFish & driving around various neighborhoods & parts of the city. We stumbled across downtown Tulsa where the annual May Fest was going on. We looked at the crafts & listened to some bands. Cherry Poppin Daddies !! Bad picture but so fun & full of energy!!

Sunday involved more driving & a lil bit of shopping. When we walked out to my car, a huge pile of glass was right next to my driverside door. I just stopped and stared. Yep, that was #3. Thankfully, all the glass was NOT from my car! While waiting for Fox & Hound to open for lunch, we sat in my car with windows partly open just talking. Out of nowhere a bird flies right into my window & flapped his wings right on the edge. The bird was thisclose to coming into my car!! {heart incident #4}. Later on driving around another bird came and just about smacked into my front windshield as I was driving. It would have cracked my window if contact was made. {scare #5} What's up with all the birds!?!? and speaking of birds, here is Bridge with her new birdhouse.
All in all it was a fun trip, though very short! I hope to visit there again real soon!
