One of my husband's best friends, Andy, came home from Afghanistan about a week ago. He brought us something so awesome & special that I just had to share. Andy works on the unmanned airplanes (UAVs) that fly overseas. Each time a UAV flys out, Andy places a US flag onto the plane. For our Christmas gift, Andy brought us a flag that was flown onboard a UAV during one of its missions. We also received a framed certificate that tells us the date of the combat mission & the name of the UAV the flag was flown in. We are so thankful that Andy is home safe & that he brought us such an amazing gift! (click on the picture if you want to see a larger view of the certificate)
